Feather & Fur
A family of bunny rabbits inhabited my property this past summer. Almost every night from June unil late September, I would see them gorging on the banquet of my green, tasty, lawn carpet. I once counted seven bunnies simultaneously having dinner in my yard. Mom and dad played lookout, while the five babies munched on.
Unfortunately for the rabbit family, a hawk also started hanging around as well. Gorgeous to witness, he would hover about twenty feet above ground and scan for movement. As this picture illustrates, he found some.
I appreciate the cyclical aspect of nature. Birth and death, and birth again. And I'm saddened by the loss of one of my unofficially adopted pet rabbits. I buried the fur out back.
Behold the Destroyer of Worlds. I just love saying that. This is the hawk that lives in my 'hood. Anybody who knows what kind of hawk this is, please post a comment. It's not a red tailed hawk. I know this because it's tail is not red. College was not a waste of time.

I am guessing that your Destroyer of the Worlds is an immature Red-tailed Hawk. It takes a couple years for their tail to turn red. I could be coaxed up to your pad with a Martini for a proper identification.
