Prom Boyz To Men
Xaverian Brothers High School Senior Prom: May, 1981. Great time, great friends. That's me on the right in the bright red ruffles, holding a crutch like a machine gun. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
My senior year of high school, I really came out of my shell and experienced a rebirth. Over the past thirteen months, I've experienced another rebirth, and continue to document it here in this blog.
I've rediscovered parts of my self that had been vacant for a while, and claimed pieces of me that I didn't even know existed. I've opened up, become more of myself, and in the process, reconnected with life and reignited the fire for fun that I see demonstrated so beautifully in this silly little picture.

Love the red ruffles - very ballsy move there, Clint! Was your date wearing red? I can't believe a catholic school let you guys pose for such an unconventional picture. Our prom photos were quite STRICT, which is hysterical when you consider the "favor" was a shot glass with a crucifix on it or something.
Madam Ovary, thank you for your comment. My date wore a smokin' white dress with a single red rose I gave her stuck between her cleavage. By my senior year in high school, the inmates were running the asylum, at least socially.
