I'd keep it. It's raw and honest. Often we're asked to believe that God only does nice things and that He was somehow absent when cancer or infectious diseases were handed out.

Your post says more than Jon may have picked up on.

If God created the universe, He'd hardly be "offended" by language.

This is the kind of dialogue I find fascinating. I knew this post would freak some people out, but I did it anyway because it's EXACTLY what was happening inside of me. And because I admitted it, yelled it, wrote about it, talked about it, I could move through it and release it. If I had kept it inside, it would have eaten at me all day because I would feel guilty about feeling it, which serves me not at all.

Jon, thank you for your comment. I know that you are looking out for my best interest when you say what you say. I know you as a good man, one who wants what's best for his fellow human. But because it's what I feel, and because that's a huge part of what this website is about, I will leave it. If I start editing what I feel, I end up in the same place I went to after my father died.

Brenda, nice to have you back. I'm shooting for honesty here, and this is as honest as it gets, so thanx. And like you, I do not believe that god would be offended by language.

Thanx for your insight. My over-riding objective is ALWAYS truth, honesty, and a depth of sharing that transcends traditional boundaries. The "unedited Clint" is therefore what you get from my writing, twenty-four-seven-three-sixty-five. So when I finally put it to the page, it's my truth.

I'm intrigued that you mentioned Maplethorp. Are you a fan? Are you familiar with Helmut Newton's work? I suppose I strive for that kind of "uneditedness' in my writing.

Although I 'm not very moved by Mapelthorp's art, I am a fan of those who challenge us and ask us to reconsider convention. Robert Mapelthorp does this and I applaud him for it.

I sometimes struggle with the in-your-face style of Mapelthorp (or someone like Richard Dawkins) because I find that I dislike confrontation. However, I also understand that this is how we grow.

I'm not familiar with Helmut Newton. I'm going to google him now. I'll let you know what I think.

You would think that HP was referring to Clint as aka "John". The more you read these blogs full of "self indulgence" the more you would associate HP's comment to Clint. (Unless HP is Clint's unknown identical twin brother.)

Um. uh. Well someone is listening. That's a good thing. Sometimes when people are near a real breakthrough they become enraged or their ego gets really really angry at not being in control. Gurunam says we can get angry but only for 11 minutes. Then we have to move on to something else. I like that thought. Then we don't get STUCK in an emotion. What I have been acknowledging recently in Clint's posts such as they are revealing themselves, the male mind, is the scary line we walk between love and the heart and the control the mind and reason demands of us as we live. We cannot live only in intellect nor solely in our emotions. Yet both are undeniably essential to a well lived life.
Interesting how posting something like this makes all of us think and want to respond. hm.
